Many people are familiar with the Dilbert series of cartoons written and drawn by Mr Scott Adams—they seem to be a favourite with IT staff. An early Dilbert observation about ISO 9000 was along the lines that the documentation was “a honkin’ big binder that people treat as if it’s a dead racoon”, keeping it under their nose for as little time as possible. As always, Mr Adams was unusually perceptive in his depiction of general attitudes within the workplace. |
