Selection and configuration of computer equipment and software (both operating and application) are worthless to an organization if the people who use the computers are aware of the dangers of careless, unthinking or malicious actions. Such actions are often unintentional; this however does not reduce the danger that they pose. The motto for this part of the documentation is therefore: "just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should do it!".Added to the risk of danger caused by user action is the
ever-increasing number of threats from viruses and spyware. Users need
to be aware of how they can mitigate the effects of such threats, and
of what to do if they are "attacked". |
